3 Quick Ways to Drive Traffic to Your New Blog Post

You already know that it is vital to write stellar content. Maybe you’re even trying to publish more blog posts than before, in an attempt to gain more audience and prove to them that you’re an authority in your niche. But sometimes, the traffic is just dud despite doing everything by the book. Eventually, you start to doubt yourself, thinking that this is not for you.

Fortunately, there are various quick ways to drive traffic to a new blog post. The secret to getting more traffic is to do what others are not willing to do. Sure, it may take some time to perfect, but that is okay – it’s part of the process.

To make it easier for you, we have compiled a list of quick ways to get more traffic. Here they are:

#1. Add Drama to Your Work

Who says you cannot spice things up? You can always add drama to the way you tell a story. In fact, even using metaphors is already an excellent way to start adding some drama and excitement to your new post. Try to write your posts in a way that they present some engaging anecdotes, all of which are capable of establishing a connection between you and your readers. And to make these anecdotes even more effective, try adding them right at the beginning of your post, in a way that it will catch the reader’s eyes quickly. The result is – and always will be – a hooked reader!

#2. Go for A Topic That Attracts Traffic

Needless to say, no one is going to read a post that dull, bland or rehashed. As such, it’s harder to gain lots of traffic to it. So, if you want to turn things around, you should consider writing about topics that are hot, trendy, and attractive to your audience. But how do you do this? How will you know which topics these are? You can always start with Google Trends, Reddit, and Quora, among others, to research and learn which topics and issues are in demand.

In this part, try using the so-called “three-circle strategy.” Basically, you need to draw three circles on a piece of paper. In the first circle, you must write all the areas that you know or knowledgeable about, say, various paid advertising networks and platforms, for example. In the second circle, write down the ones that you are interested in, such as Click2sell.co, ClickBank, etc. As for the last circle, you should pick topics from the two circles that are connected to both and considered in demand. Obviously, your sweet spot – and go-to topics – are the ones where the three circles intersect.

#3. Always Analyze Your Headlines Before Publishing

This is where you are going to use a headline analyzer tool, with the CoSchedule marketing project management platform being an epitome. Once you are done writing and reviewing your post, copy and paste your headline into the mentioned tool. You will appreciate the fact that it is super quick and effective. CoSchedule gives your draft headline a “Headline Score,” which is based on the overall structure, readability, and grammar. It even dissects into the use of “power words,” “uncommon words,” and “emotional words,” just to name a few. More importantly, you get to have some tips on how you can improve your headline for the better, and by that to increase your click-through rate (CTR).
